hey hotpot!, I had the honor this week of accepting the Wonder Women Award on behalf of hotpot! from the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund’s Wonder Women Committee. This is an incredible group of women who raise funds and awareness to impact issues affecting the lives of LGBTQ women. Each March, the committee (some members with whom hotpot!

help hotpot! raise $650 to support API Queer and Trans Activists in need of ADA accessible housing at the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference.

Friends and Allies, hotpot! values diversity, sustainability, and listening to all voices in our community. Every year, we are thrilled to actively participate in the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference. This year Van will speak on the API trans/GNC Voices panel on Sat. June 15 with 5 other people. The fabulous Kay (www.kaybarrett.net) will moderate and stellar Emi Koyama (of eminism.org)

Baltimore was packed with Queers and Creating Change heated up the already seasonably warm weather. This was my second time attending Creating Change and despite being down with a cold, I had a super time. Highlights included attending the AAPI day long institute with over 40 other queer and trans API folks, including other hotpot!

Hotpot! recieves grant from Delaware Valley Legacy Fund

On Tuesday, September 20th,  six hotpot! members attended a ceremony in which we received a $3,550 grant award from the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF) – Racial Equity Initiative (REI).
