hotpot! was invited to speak at and attend AAU’s event on MLK day Jan 21, 2013
“Philly! MLK Day 2013: March and Rally for Community Love and Power!” at LOVE Park, and the workshops held prior at Folk Arts – Cultural Treasures Charter School.
hotpot! was thrilled about our invitation to attend and speak at this event. It shows a step towards integration in having other Philly Asian organizations publicly recognize hotpot! as simultaneously LGBTQ and Asian. The day’s events were filled with opportunities to explore the connections in our struggles as Asian American people. We joined Boat People SOS, One Love Movement, AAU, and other Asian American organizations.
