This Friday: hotpot! fundraising dinner, zine launch and more

Join us for a cozy evening of good food, our zine launch, and an overview of hotpot! over the last year as we raise money for attending Creating Change.

Read on for official invite and details below.

You’re invited to our 2nd annual hotpot! fundraising dinner on Friday, November 18th, 2011 from 7-9pm.

Hotpot! is on the move and we need your help. This fall, we presented at Element’s Queer Womyn of Color Conference, raised our voices at the first Philly Trans March and had our first organizational retreat.

Now our goal is to continue and share our work around community building and LGBTQ immigration at National Conferences. This January we’ll be heading to Baltimore to present at Creating Change. We need to raise $2500 to keep hotpot! on track and our finances out of the red. Recognizing that it is a privilege to have paid vacation days and that without them days at the conference is a financial loss, we will reimburse those hotpot! Members.

After arriving back in Philadelphia, hotpot! will use new skills to increase infrastructure, capacity, and challenges and future plans for panels and actions around immigrants’ rights for the Spring.
